Where will it be going out of, and when will it start? I have a friend that took her mother on it in the Medditeranean for her 80th birhtday. That was in June. It was a first cruise for both of them. They quite enjoyed it. They had a balcony cabin on the back of the ship and thought it was really nice. They did say they were expecting the food to be better, and more choices. Their waiter was not that great and spoke very limited English. This was the only complaint I heard, and it did not spoil their vacation, and they said they would do it again.

The best way to describe a Costa Magica cruise is that it is a Carnival cruise with a European flavor. The design and decor of the ship will make you feel like you are on a similar Carnival ship, but announcements will be made in 5 languages, much activity is centered outdoors and around the pool during the day. There is a lot of late night activity and a number of different dance venues to keep the ship jumping. Food, may or may not be to your liking as it caters to a more European (Italian) palate. Entertainment is not the typical prooduction shows that Americans are used to - they are built around performances that appeal to a wide variety of cultures and where language is not a barrier.
