Liquor on Board MSC

I was able to put 2 bottles of Bailey's in my luggage and 1 bottle Amaretto and a 2 liter of Diet Coke. It got to my cabin with no problem. I felt great till I went to port in Martinique, bought Bailey's for $9.50, compared to WalMart's $19.90. So I bought a bottle, and boarded ship. Nothing was said, so I went and bought 2 bottles Godiva for $10 each, boarded again without so much as a look. Went back, bought 2 2liters Diet Coke, Johnny Walker Blue for $98, boarded again with no problem. Got home and sold the blue for $175 to a neighbor. So my liquor was free!

Sounds to me like another good reason to cruise on MSC. Were the wine prices on board still as cheap as they were in December?

No. I honestly listed all purchases made on all items I brought into the states on the immigration form. The immigration lady took my form and waved me through without so much as a look at the form. The liquor was in my suitcases, and not disturbed. The wife packed the sugar cane stalks from ?Martinique? though I told her not to, fearing they would then check all my bags more closely.

I went to the virgins and bought 4 cases of premium scotch and other liquors.....
Others watched as the customs inspector rather than arresting me charged me $16 a gallon duty RATHER THAN ARRESTING ME The insanity of duty free is that it gives no limit you can bring in. if you pay this simple fee..... on $65 bottles I bought for $12. I paid about 3 dollars tax.... for $16 a bottle..... a savings of 48 a bottle....... ANd at the airport paid to have itr shipped..... as extra baggage.
