Seabourn to Norway ,,anyone been??
 

Booked one for May ,,,never been on SB...but gets good review...and hope its great,,,any one taken this cruise,,,any great excursions,,,have gotten a few hints by googling each town,,etc...going to Bergen,Copenhagen,Stavanger,Olden,ALesund,Oslo,,,,

I sailed the Seabourn Pride about 15 years ago. Very upscale, luxurious, all-inclusive, small, great service and food, etc. Since then, they have added an optional casual dining option and several other changes.

I've been to Copenhagen, did Tivoli Gardens and a walking tour of the city.

Have not sailed seabourn but we did a trip to Norway last summer

Oslo also a DIY there is a HOHO bus that stops right at the docks but you can also walk into the city centre about 10 minute Take the ferry over to the Kontiki Museum

see you went to Stavanger,,,what did you do there,,,is it also DIY..or ships excursion,,,???Also,,,going to Flam,,,did you go,,,take the train???on own or with ship??Is it worth it to buy Oslo pass,,,only there 1 day???Not going to North Cape,,,only 9 days Fjiord cruise,,but staying extra days in Copenhagen,,,

We just walked around the town in Stavenger had coffee & pastry YUMMM
In Norway the libraries have free internet so if you need it just look for the Bibliotek

Oslo ..We just bought the pass it got us into the museums & Ferry to the Bygdøy peninsula,
we had done the fort & museum before (right at dock)

If you add up the prices for each museum the pass is worth it even if you only do 4

We did not go to Flam this trip

Of your ports, we went to Bergen, Alesund, and Olden. This was on Celebrity a couple of years ago.

Bergen and Alesund are done easily on your own. We did a shore excursion in Alesund, though, and it was good, yet next time we will opt for the tourist bus that goes around town. I forget if it was a HOHO. As you'll be going to Stavanger, you can do a fjord excursion from there and enjoy Alesund. Pretty architecture.

In Bergen, we walked into town and visited the Fish Market and Mt. Floyen. The tram up there was worth it. There were six ships in town the day we visited, so the wait was long, yet the view from the top is superb. You can hike to the top, if you wish. The paths are pretty.

Olden is a port in which you should book a shore excursion as there's not much to the town. Yet, the surrounding area is beautiful. We took a boat ride on Lake Loen with stops at one of the glaciers. It's among my favorite shore excursions ever.
