Hi, I am about to leave on my first 7 day Costa Cruise. Can anyone tell me how many formal nights there are? I have been doing freestyle for a while and 5 dayers on Carnival so I am not sure anymore about 7 dayers... Are there two formal AND a semi formal or one formal and one semi? I will be there for New Years and assume that night will be formal but not sure if there is also a Captains dinner formal wear also. For some reason I have it in my head that there will also be a semi formal.
Thanks for any help! Karen

You should have two formal on a 7-day cruise. Other nights Smart casual should be fine. Nice slacks and tops, docker type pants for men, nice shirts. With most cruises now days you will see a wide variety of dress though.

Thanks Cruise fanatic...Does that two formal nights have IN ADDITION a semi formal? Or do the two nights cover me for dressier clothing?

No semi-formal. Costa is actually quite casual when it comes to dress. Not sure if they still do it but they used to have a toga night.
