I have not sailed with that cruise line, but am leaving myself from genoa with festival cruises, I have already sailed to Greece and the areas you are going to and it was great.
Many thanks Tom and Susanne for your replies. As no-one else seems to have cruised with MSC, I will post a review when I return. When is your cruise from Genoa, Susanne?
The ports of call should be fantastic, but my only concern (sort of) is the weather. As we are sailing from 11 to 22 November, was wondering if the weather would be moderate - particularly around Turkey & Greece - or freezing!
dear robyn,
I go in August from genoa.Last yr I went to genoa,Turkey and Greece which was very, very hot.lovely... but in August again. It was in the 90s in greece, which is a wonderful place, sorry i do not know what the temp will be later in the yr, but AI would love to go back there.Turkey very busy.In greece I went to Mykonos and Kefolonia. Also went to Italy on that cruise.
I will be sailing from Genoa on September 11th on the Melody so will let you know how it is when I get back. I understand the passengers are mainly Italians and Germans - oh and you'd better like pasta.
grammercy1234,
Look forward to hearing your views after your September cruise on Melody. Yes, I do like pasta - indeed anything Italian and that includes the vino! And yes, I do believe the passengers are mainly European and being an Italian ship in European waters, this should be expected. But I also believe this ship is becoming popular with others from the UK and Australia (must be the bargain prices!)
