Getting a cab

Does anybody know how hard or easy it is to get a cab from the port of Cozumel to Dolphin Discovery and then back to the port? Thanks

I was in Cozumel last December and had no problem getting a taxi to one of the beaches (playa mia). I can't remember what the fair was, but it was reasonable.

Angel, it is very easy, but remember, negotiate fare in US dollars before getting in cab. And don't let them try the old "per person" once you get there. I have very good luck with cab drivers in Cozumel, I love to go to Paradise beach to relax, and the cabs are lined up when it's time to go back to the ship.

Queen is correct. You'll have no trouble getting a cab in either direction. When you get off the ship head off the pier and when you get to the pier entrance you will spot the taxi pick up and drop off point. You get into line and they will get you into a taxi pretty quickly. ALWAYS establish a price before you get in. (This holds true for all ports)

You will have no trouble getting a taxi. Either to Chankanaab or Paradise Beach. Just fasten your seat belt.

We joke that there are more taxis than sand in Cozumel.

Also, the fare will run you $12 - 15 one way for a taxi (of up to 4 people)...depending on where you dock or tender into.

We will be in Cozumel next week and we have the Dolphin Discovery booked for me and my daughter. I will let you know about the taxis as well as Dolphin Discovery. I was told by the people at Dolphin Discovery that a cab should be around $15 per cab, not per person, to the park. I will let you know how it works out. There will be 3 of us. The last time I was in Cozumel, I don't remember having any problems getting a cab.
