I am escorting a group in November on the Carnival Valor. We have 22 people in our party. All want to do the cave tubing excursion. I have been searching on line looking for tour guides that can accomodate this size of group. One of the things we want is to keep our group private, we do not want to be mainstreamed in with other groups. I have found a couple that do offer an air conditioned bus that can accomadate us, most do not and that is important that we travel together. We also want to be assured that life jackets are available for those who want one and that lunch is also included. I have received a couple great prices from 2 vendors that I sent inquiries to. The first is Belize Cave Tubing with Cave-Tubing.com and the other is http://www.explorebelizecaves.com/ if you have used either of these tour guides or know any that have; any feedback would be greatly appreciated. One wants a deposit on my credit card of 20% for the group, the other said we just need to reserve and that we would pay at the port when the excursion began.

Thanks in advance for any advise.

Carol,

A group on my cruise last week used cave-tubing.com for their excursion and had great things to say about them. There were about 15 people in the group that went with them. I assume that's the one that didn't want the deposit, right? I had thought about joining in but couldn't because of the group I was with.

One thing you should know. . . .The ride to the cave-tubing area is over an hour, and then you have to hike to the start of the tubing "river," and that takes a good 30-45 minutes.

I know others have used the other tour operator you mentioned, but I don't remember hearing anything about them.

I'll ask my friend if she has any specifics about cave-tubing.com.

Chris

Thanks Chris, yes you are correct that is the one that did not want the deposit and said we would pay once we got there, just needed to reserve soon for this size crowd.

We understand the ride there is about 45-60 minutes long, thats why its important that we get someone that can offer a bus and keep the group together.

Anyone else used either of these guide? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Carol- Email Reggie Tours (they have a web site). They may be able to handle 22 (may need more than one "group" but for that many people they may be able to work it out. They came recommended on this board, and they seemed very friendly, informative and willing to work with us. We told them we had some people in our group of 8 that wanted to do both the tubing and the Mayan ruins tour. They could have said "sure, no problem" but instead truthfully told us that in order to do that they would have to cut the tubing trip short and we wouldn't like it. So, they get the honesty vote from me.
