My favorite is Trunk Bay on St. John. You can catch the ferry from St. Thomas for $6/pp, take a cab to Trunk Bay (bring your camera), and take in one of the most pristine, white sand beach, warm crystal clear water, places in the Caribbean. I believe admission was $2/pp. There are fresh water showers, lockers, snack bar, a couple of shops (shop in St. Thomas), a place to rent snorkel equipment, and a self-guided snorkel tour. If you're not so inclined to leave St. Thomas, Maagen's Bay is a nice beach. I think cab fare there was $18/pp. There is plenty of shopping in St. Thomas. Best wishes and have a wonderful cruise!!
If you like to snorkel, try the Castaway Girl catamaran and snorke. They take you to a ship wreck and you get about 45 minutes of snorkel time. They give you great rum punch and the ride to and from the site is great. Its about 30 minutes and you can sunbathe on the front of the catamaran. We have been on six snorkeling excurisons and this is by far the best.

How did you arrange this tour with the Castaway Girl Catamaran? Thanks>

DSR,
Another fun beach is Coki beach. Not bad for snorkeling. Trunk Bay is the best and my 1st choice. St. Thomas has many great beaches and shopping. It is a regular stop for Eastern and Southern Caribbean cruises. You'll probably get another chance to see what you don't on your first cruise. WARNING! CRUISING CAN BE ADDICTING
I'm not sure if I'm going to go back to Trunk Bay or do Coki Point. I was also thinking about Sapphire Beach, does anyone have anything to add about Sapphire Beach on St. Thomas?
In the shopping district near the port there is a cool cable car ride to a small mountain that overlooks the bay. Small shops and a little cafe are there. Absolutely beautiful!!!
