There are 7 of us. We are not interested in the catamaran snorkeling excursion offered by the cruise ship for ST.Thomas or St. Maartan - too many people. Been there, done that. Really looking for a small local boat offering max. load of say 15 or 20. Any recommendations?

Sea Safari used to be based in St. Thomas, don't know if they still run there or not. See if Tiami is there, their catamaran's are great. If it was Bonaire, Mushi/Mushi is awesome, but it's not. I wasn't impressed with the snorkel trips I took in St. Maarten at all, we went on 3 different ones and to me, they were nothing to write home about. But it is sailing, and snorkeling, so it can't be all bad!

Regardless of who you choose, bring along some medium sized dog biscuits for snorkeling. The fish will completely surround you and eat the biscuit as it crumbles up in the water. Make sure to get some pictures!
