Here another question where are the best bargains for shopping, especially silver jewelry? Cozumel, Grand Cayman or Aruba? Everyone on here has such good advice I can't help but ask these questions as we want to get the most out of our cruise.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

It used to be that Cozumel was the best for silver, but they have gotten the capitalistic bug and while you cna still find a good deal, the deals are not as good as they used to be.

You can find good deals, but you need to be very careful in all the places you listed while buying jewelry. Unless you can tell the difference between plated metals, glass stones and imitation pearls and their real counterparts, you are taking your chances buying in these ports.

Be careful what you buy in Mexico, or anywhere in the Caribbean. Having said that I still like shopping in Cozumel best. Prices did go up since the hurricane, but If you had traveled there that winter and seen the damage you would probably pay whatever they asked if it meant keeping this people going. I did not think shopping in Cayman was very good, definitely no bargains, not that much different than Florida--T-shirts, sun glasses, expensive swimwear, etc.

Cozumel is definitely the best place to buy. If you go to most of the silver places you can talk the people down on their prices so don't pay the first thing that they ask for because almost every time you can talk them down. Happy travels

Cozumel is a fabulous place to shop for jewelry, just be sure to know what you are looking at. It's fun to bargain with sales people and they are always nice especially when they know you are from a cruise ship. The shopping expert on the ship can give you names of places. Always compare prices and never pay what they ask. Enjoy!
