Grand Turk Terminal & Shore Excursions

Has anyone been to the new Grand Turks Cruise Terminal yet? From the map, I see that it is at the south end of the island. How much is it to take a taxi to the town?
Has anyone done any of the shore excursions offered there yet?
What did you enjoy, what are the drawbacks to the new terminal & getting around the island?

I guess we were shipmates. Just returned. Didn't do island tour but enjoyed the pool at Margaritaville.

So - - - tell us more. Did either of you go into Cockburn Town? Do any excursions? Do any snorkeling? Go to Gibbs Cay? Was it hard to get to town from the cruise center? Buses or shuttles? What was the beach area like?

I did not get to the town.
I did the helmet dive and had a blast.

Thank you for your reports from Grand Turks. If anyone else has been their recently, what excursions or activities did you enjoy? How much was taxi service to town. Any other tips you may have? Thank you in advance.
