The Blue Lagoon excursion offered by Royal Caribbean has a dolphin encounter. If you book your excursion directly through Blue Lagoon, you can reserve a swim with the dolphins. Their swim with the dolphins book a couple months in advance, so don't wait to book if this is something your family would like to do. The dolphin encounters through RC do not include the swim. There is a free public beach by Atlantis-very clean, chairs ($), etc. We took the taxi to Atlantis, but people who took the water taxi, said that the operator pointed out celebrity homes on the way. People who took the Atlantis tour said it was worth it. Nassau also has a small zoo-you can go in the parrot cage and have the birds sit on your arm and eat out of your hand. THere is also a flamingo show. These events are in the afternoon, you wouldn't want to get there early in the day and then wait around a couple hours for the falmngo show or parrot feeding. The zoo is about 1 mile from the port.
