Non-tourist things to do in Aruba and...

Willemstand, Curacao and Castries, St. Lucia. We have six of us. Is is worth getting taxi's to local beaches. Is there something that stands out as worth doing. We will be there around 9th - 11 of November. Thanks.

Have you checked out the suggestions on our sister site "portreviews.com". That's a good place to start to get ideas of things to do. If you are looking for a non-touristy but great beach experience in Aruba try the Havana Beach Club. Located just outside the downtown district, right before the airport, it is a local spot (easily within walking distance from the port) but they have a nice (but small beach),beach chairs, bar, restaurant - everything you want to get away from the "typical tourist haunts".

As for St. Lucia - my favorite beach is Anse Chastenet (a gorgeous black sand beach).

I agree with NancyN Anse Chastenet is absolutely beautiful, while down there you should go see the volcano and Pistons mountains. That part of the island is what I remember most. It is about a 4 hr day trip, so much to see ! and yes you will have to get there by taxi. I know of a good taxi tour guide down there, let me know if you want the website.
