Getting from Nassau to Paradise Island?

What's the best way to go from Nassau to Paradise Island?
1. Taxi
2. Ferry
3. or walk? I wouldn't mind the walk, just don't know how long it would be.

The "Water Taxis" are a huge Rip Off. And would be a really long walk.

The ferry is cheap but they herd on so many people its quite ridiculous. Then you have a VERY long walk around the end of the island to get to the beach. On the way back to the pier, however, one of the beach staff, said 'no problem, just walk through the resort.' There were lots of green and white striped towels laying about, so if you really felt out of place, you could throw one over your shoulder. haha. I would walk through both ways if doing it again.

A taxi is the best way. For that do not go through the cruise line. Just go outside of the Security area and Pick one. I'd recommend a guy named Felix, He's a tall skinny Bahamian and very nice and polite. He is great for tours if you want to see the island. He's about 50-60 years old. We use him everytime we go to the Bahamas. Have fun. We are going again Nov 27th.
