Anyone know the cost of the ferry from Cozumel to main land Mexeco? Also how often dose it run?

I should add that I personally wouldn't do this on my own. Besides it taking 2 hours out of my port time in Cozumel, the ferry boats can and do have delays. I'd hate to miss my ship and pass it in the channel as I wave to it from the ferry.

We know of people who used the ferry through a ship's tour. The sea crossing became rough and service back to Cozumel was suspended for the day. They got flown (on the cruiseline nickel) to the next port of call--Miami to disembark. We did this ferry to tour Tulum--fabulous, definitely memorable and worth seeing. However I would never try to do this again without being in a mainland port. The ferry ride is a couple hour round trip and was such and adventure in motion sickness (people throwing up right in front of their own seat) and we had a relatively calm day. Too much transportation, not enough historic ruins.

I've done the Tulume trip using the ferry ride...It was rough, but not that bad....It's a crap shoot if you do it on your own....they do suspend the ferry's if the sea gets too rough...wouldn't want to be on the mainland and stuck there.....They are building a very nice ferry port building....maybe they will upgrade the ferries too....Happy Sailing...
