Is there a charge to visit Atlantis Resort in Nassau

Will be visiting Nassau in August on NCL. I want to do some fishing while in port. Can someone please tell me where we can charter a boat for some reef fishing? We are also thinking of visiting Atlantis resort and Casino. Do we have to pay to get into the resort and how much?

You do have to pay to get into the resort, and it's about $30pp. I've been told that if you get there early (before 8am) then you can simply walk in and spend your day, since there is no one to collect the fee.

If you are talking about just going over to the Atlantis Casino-no, you don't have to pay. You can walk into the casino, and walk around the shops, there are alot of nice things to see just walking around inside. You also can see part of the Aquarium from inside. There is a small tunnel area you walk through and can view. We were just there the beginning of February and the largest stingray I have ever seen swam above our heads. The fee is to go out on the grounds and use the waterpark, beach etc.

We have done a private tour, offerd at the pier. It was 25 $ per person. They took us around the island, visited the Atlantis hotel with the places, cruise fanatic discribed.
But we were not able to use the waterpark and beach, but we could walk around and see it.

My children really wanted to go to Atlantis for the day! We found that with a little searching on the internet a room across the street at the Comfort Inn could be booked for less than 180.00 a night. It offers you full use of all the water rides at the resort and a place to crash during the day. I know this may seem like a lot to some people, but it seemed about the same price as any other excursion for the family, and the kids can spend all day on the water slides!
