The park was supposed to open in March. They now are saying April. The park is very easy to get to on your own by Taxi, so I wouldn't pay for a ship excursion to go there. Check in weekly with
www.wilmacozumel.com for updates from residents who live there. If you want a good alternate water and snorkle park, Xel-ha, on the main land would be a great excursion. I haven't heard about any problems there from the huricane. Visit their web site for more info. For this spot, I would recommend the ship's excursion so that you're sure to get back to the boat on time.
