Cozumel 2/16/06

We are going on our first cruise. We were thinking about just going to the Chankanaab National Park for most of the day. Can anyone tell me if this would be worth it? I understand that if we want to go snorkling we can purchase the gear there and go.

The park was just wonderful when we went last March. You can rent from two different merchants rite on the beach. I thing we played $7 for the day. Their were lots of fish just on the rocky shore line.

You may want to call ahead and make sure the park wil be reopened by then. The park had some damage form the hurricane and as of this day, I am not sure they have reopened yet. I know the Dolphin area is not supposed to be reopened until March, unless that has changed. I am sure they have a link on a website.

The last word I had was that Chankanaab was going to re-open sometime in February, but I had no specific date.
