Shopping in port!

Here we go! My wife and I are leaving THIS WEEKEND on our first-year anniversary cruise to Aruba, St. Marteen, St. Thomas and Curacao. She wants to know if anyone can provide some great shopping tips for our ports of call. I am going to be financing her shopping sprees, so don't hold back!

St. Thomas and St. Marteen are the best places for shopping. However, St. Thomas is a great place for snorkeling as well. Curacao is loaded with shops, maybe you can include a tour of the Curacoa factory with some free samples as well. We've been on some good snorkels in Aruba and Curacoa as well. Many things are cheaper in St. Maarten than they are in St. Thomas. Just be aware that some shops in St. Maarten are not particularly scrupulous if you give them an opportunity. Just keep your wits about you and you'll be fine.

I went to St.Thomas and St.Marteen last year. St. Marteen is great for shopping. If your wife likes Tanzanite jewelry, they have great deals. I bought a diamond and tanzanite ring in St. Marteen that appraised for about $100.00 more than I paid for it. A friend of mine bought a watch at a great deal too. We also did an excurison in St.Marteen, but we wished that we would have just spent the day shopping. St. Thomas is so beautiful, so we snorkeled and parasailed. We didn't get much shopping done there. Have a great time on your vacation!!!!!!!!!
