We were in Key West in Novmember of 2005 on the Majesty Of The Seas. Dave is right. Its definitely not a beach town. We rented bikes and rode to Ft. Taylor beach. It is about a 15 minute bike ride, and its located in a State Park. ($2 admission) It was very rocky and not much beachfront. The water was pretty, but it appeared that they had built up a rock levee to prevent the park from flooding and they never removed it, so you had to walk over a mound of rocky sand to get to the water. Its a cool town, but more for tourists, not swimmers. Bike or motorized scooters are the only way to see the town. The bikes had small baskets on them for your souveiners etc.., and locks were provided. Have fun!!
