don't drink the water??

I've read some comments about being careful about drinking the water certain places. Can someone tell me if it is safe to drink at Chankanaab Park in Cozumel? If places are recommended by Carnival will the water be safe to drink?

Why take chances; stick with bottled water anywhere off the ship. And only drink from bottles or cans you open yourself or see being opened.

There is plenty of bottled water available at the park. I would not chance it either.

Botela de agua, por favor. And remember, no ice, popsicles or fresh fruit or salads. We always take water bottles that we fill with ice and water on the ship before we go.

On another thread our good Doc said no ice. I have never had a frozen drink at Chankanaab. I have had a Dos X and a chicken enchilada without any problems. That was Pre-Wilma though. So I am going to play it on the safe side for awhile.

Now, I often get some great food at Pancho's and a frozen drink at Fat Tuesday's. I have been told they have filtration systems, and no problems so far for me.

I just avoid the smaller operations, especially outside of the town limits. Why take the chance?

Stay away from frozen drinks too. Even if you think you'll play it safe by having a salad, the lettuce is rinsed in the water.

As everyone else has stated, stick with bottled water only and eat at cruise recommended eateries.
