Atlantis in Nassau

We are cruising on the Radiance of the Seas in November. Our last port will be Nassau. I read on one of the cruise chats that Atlantis is a fantastic place to visit. It looks very impressive on it's website. It is not one of the excursions offered by the ship.

If we get a cab at the port, can anyone tell me approximately how far it is to Atlantis, how long it will take to get there from the port, how much it costs, etc.

You will be able to see Atlantis as you pull into port. It is just across the bridge and if you are a hardy soul, even within walking distance of the port. By taxi it is only 5 minutes away and will cost about $3-5 per person. However, be aware that while it is a great property, unless you are a guest much of the resort is inaccessible. You can take a tour of Atlantis-there is a charge. The public beach right next door is clean and free.
