When stopping at a Columbia port, does anyone know if you need ID, your Passport etc???

If a particular port requires a passport then the cruise line should inform you prior to the cruise commencing - ideally you should know this at the time of booking. Regardless of port, you always need your ID with you. I'd never venture off the ship - even in St. Thomas for example - without identification. If you have a passport, make a color copy of the front two pages (your photo and info and the impressive page with the State Department gobbledy gook) and carry that with you and leave the original passport in your cabin safe. That is what we do, as well as bringing drivers licenses.

We did need a passport to board the ship but getting off/on in Columbia we did not need to show it. Just your cruise card although we do take photo I.d. when we leave the ship.
Being Canadians our passports were held by the cruiseline for the entire trip.
