There were 2 of us, and that was the per taxi cost.

No irons in the staterooms. . .too dangerous. They have a laundry where one is available for use.

Is there a charge to borrow the iron from the laundry facilty/
Also, how good are the toileteries in the bathroon e.g. shampoo, conditioner, lotion etc. so that I don't overpack.?

I would appreciate if you can give any other tidbits or surprises because this is the first time we are travelling with Carnival and there are 11 of us and I am trying to gather as much info as possible.

You can't remove the iron from the laundry room. Irons are one item that are specifically banned from use in cabins. You must use it in the laundry room.

The soaps and stuff provided in the cabin are good enough for me, and my wife has never complained. They even provide disposable razors - both mens and ladies versions.

Any highlights you can mention for this cruise?

The iron is free to use. They charge for the washers and dryers, just like a laundromat.

I've not done that itinerary so I can't say what would be good to do.
