Maagen's Bay is a nice beach. Since you'll have plenty of time you might want to take the ferry over to St. John and go to Trunk Bay. The ferry is $6/pp, the cab fare is $4.50/pp, and the admission to the beach is $2/pp. It is a beautiful beach with warm, crystal clear water. There are fresh water showers, lockers, a snack bar, and a couple of shops (not cheap-shop in St. Thomas). There is a self-guided snorkel tour (from the beach) and you can rent equipment there if you don't have your own. Bring a camera as most of the drivers will stop for a couple of great photo ops. There is plenty of shopping in St. Thomas. Another option is a catamaran sail/snorkel to Buck Island, the sailing is half the fun. The island tour--well, not as pretty as some islands, but still if you haven't been there, might be interesting. St. John is prettier to me. Here's hoping to wonderful weather and an excellent cruise!!
