Havent been to Cozumel since before the hurricane, but by far the shopping is much better there. Vanilla is a must buy, even if you dont do much baking, bring some back and share with others. You will also find the coral chess sets in Cozumel. Cozumel store owners are willing to bargain, we found in Costa Maya the prices were much more higher at the port shopping area and the dealers were unwilling to bargain at all.
