Hi Just back from these ports. St maarten we took a ship tour to Pinel Island. It took us on a little tour of part of island crossing over from Dutch side to French side. Took a little boat to island where we snorkeled then swam off a lovely beach. In the afternoon we walked the two main street(Front and Back streets) Found a great coffee shop on Back Street.
In Barbados (we know this Island well) We took a taxi to the beach we knew and spent a few hrs there. A good spot to go if you want to swim, rent seado's or walk on the beach is "Mullin's Beach" Its is on the west coast where the water is calm and the beach beautiful. It has a bar restaurant there as well. You can ask the cab driver to come back for you or get another one there to get back to ship. takes about 20-25 min. You can also just walk toward town from the ship cross over the bridge and keep to your right will come to a very pretty beach where you can swim. People are very friendly in Barbados so don't be afraid to ask directions. You can also hire a taxi driver for the day and he will show you the sites. Agree on a price before hand and give your self a good hour spare time to be back at ship. They are on Bajan time there. Have fun
