7 mile beach

Helpppp , I am planning on going to 7 mile beach with my wife and kids. I would like for the kids to try snorkling. Where would be the best place to snorkle and also have activities for the children along 7 mile beach? If you have other suggestions please let me know

We didn't snorkel at 7 mile beach, just enjoyed the beach. I would highly recommend Stingray City and then a cab to 7 mile beach. There have been a lot of good review about Rum Point, but we haven't been there, so I can't personally recommend it. I love 7 mile beach, but others have said it's too crowded. We never had a problem and it was so beautiful walking up and down the beach. Hope this helps a little.

We did Stingray city 2 years ago and enjoyed it. We wanted a beach day. I also heard that Rum point was very nice, but my wife insist that Rum point is to far away. I have to keep the better half happy.
any special area that you go to in 7mile beach? Do you just tell the cab driver 7 mile beach and they take you to the same place?

I just told the cab driver what we were interested in. I told him I wanted some place to get a cold drink, go to the restroom, and not too crowded. He dropped us off and we arranged to have him pick us up. He was right on time, and right where he said he would be. I thought the water was phenomenal and I loved walking the beach. The frozen margarita was very tasty as well.

We have done the stingray's in the past and this last time, in April, we took a cab; asked where to go and we ended up at a public area that had a bar and grill, rented snorkle equip and water toys and the beach was great.. Would recommend swim socks as some of the 7 Mile Beach has coral and drops off quickly. Enjoy. Cab round trip 9 bucks with tip and 10 bucks to rent a lounge chair, drinks fairly expensive; view of the cruise ship off in a distance and the expansive beach front and beautiful water --
priceless...

I have read some posts that recommend Seagrape beach, or the area around the Palms. Are you familiar with two areas? Which one would be better.

I honestly don't remember the name of the area where we were dropped, just the wonderful drink hut there. Maybe Peter1 has better memory than me.

I, as well, don't remember just exactly where we were, just the great drink hut! Must have been the same area. Really, all I remember was seeing a taxi stand that had a sign reading where it was going and one said "Seven Mile Beach" and we ended up at a public beach that had the bar and rented the beach things. I do remember only that it was across the street from a hotel.
