Yes, I have been reading every post that Nancy and Tom have left regarding Cozumel and are very grateful for their insight. This site (cruise chat) has been a wealth of information.

I just happened upon these pictures and thought others might like to see them too. It seemed to show the progress already made in Cozumel.

Thanks for the link. I now am hoping that the ship does stop in Cozumel after all. It's amazing how much progress has already been made. Glad to see that Coconuts is still mostly intact. We had heard good things about it and wanted to check it out.

Somehow I have missed Coconuts on previous visits. Where is it located and is it a place to eat or drink, or what????

Coconuts is a great restaurant/bar on the east coast of Cozumel that is on a hillside overlooking the ocean. Great food, great bar and great fun! Ask to see their "family albums" for a good laugh.

It is located between Punta Morena and Chen Rio Beach. You can see pictures of it at:

I'll try to keep you updated on the status of the Other Side road - as although Coconuts wasn't too badly damaged the road to get there was. When I went it was passable although almost down to a single lane in places. Where you really get stuck is at Chen Rio, where the river blocks your way - however, Coconuts is before that...

It'll be a while before you can go right around the island again, but hopefully they'll get access to Coconuts open asap...
