Is it safe in belize

I stayed in the main cruise tourist area of the port and didn't notice anything. Of course being safe is a subjective question. I wasn't hassled much, and I didn't witness any crimes. I wouldn't wander too far off the beaten tourist path though.

we have decided to do the barrister island beach break thru the ship at Belize. Since it is just my sister and I we felt safer doing this. but if our hubbys were with us we might have gone into the tourist area.

Hi! That may be what we did in Belize--it was a tiny island with a swim up bar and there was a snorkeling "path". It was fabulous. I believe it was through the ship as we were dropped directly back to the ship after.
