Transportation from Montego Bay to Negril

Our group of aobut 14 people are leaving on the Carnival Conquest for the Western Caribbean cruise soon. In Jamaica, we really want to go to Rick's Cafe in Negril and do some cliff-jumping there. However, the boat docks in Montego Bay, about an hour away. Any suggestions as to how to safely get there, without going through one of Carnival's excursions?

Welcome to Cruise-Chat. Here is transportation prices from the airport. I realize it's not the cruise port, but it will give you a ball park figure of what prices run to Negril. You may want to make a comparison to any ships excursions.
