san juan? what to do?

We are on the crown next friday the 23. We are going to san juan...what is worth seeing or doing?

A walking tour of Old San Juan is interesting. The Condada section of San Juan is nice. The botanical gardens is supposed to be nice (haven't done this, but have heard some good reviews). Don't know how long you're going to be there, but Ponce is supposed to be nice. We had a tablemate on one of our cruises that lived in San Juan, she said that was where she went on weekends. Hope this helps a little!

I loved the old churches in San Juan. . .And, don't forget El Morro. I don't know when you're going to be there, but the Victory will be there from 5 pm - midnight, and I plan to take the bioluminesence kayak tour that evening!!

BTW. . .Just because I am a Starbucks fanatic: You'll find them in Old San Juan!!

I love sailing out of San Juan. If your ship docks in Old San Juan you have it made. If it docks at the Pan American pier, you will have to take a taxi into Old San Juan. El Morro is a must if you haven't done it. We also spend a few hours at the Caribe Hilton in Old San Juan. You have to be there to know why we go ever time we are in San Juan. It's a 17 acre resort where you can walk in like you're a guest and enjoy the day.

Hi,
Don't know how long you're going to be in San Juan, but we visited Arecibo Radio telescope which is the largest telescope in the world. It was featured in a James Bond movie with Pierce Brosnan. Very nice trip and tour. Awesome. We also went to Camuy Caves which are home of some of the largest underground caverns. Look on the Puerto Rico website and they will send you free brochures and books. My book is called Go To Puerto Rico Travel Planner. has hotels, things to see, etc. Was very helpful in planning what to see as it's sectioned off by geographic location N S E W and you can judge how much time things will take. We were in SJ 2 days prior to cruise which was cool. Have a great time.
