You will have to specify what you consider "inexpensive". We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott down town and I think it was $129??? its clean, but did not offer a shuttle to the port. None of the hotels that I looked into seemed to offer a shuttle. It may be something local that prevents them from doing that.
If you want to tell us your price range we might be able to suggest a couple of places. Also, what do you expect from a hotel.. a place to sleep... a resort style stay? Beach access???
I don't really want to spend more than about $130.00 for the night. Doesn't have to be fancy just close enough to things to do for the night and to the cruise ship pier. I would like a nice pool if possible. Thanks!

There are a couple of decent hotels that you may get for that price range but they are going to be out by the Airport, so being close to "do things" is out. When is your cruise? If it is close, try Priceline bidding on a hotel and see what you get. Realize though that Priceline only guarantees you a 1 bed (king) hotel room so if you are looking for a room say for a family of 4 you take your chances. Some will have pull out sofa beds for extra people or sometimes you can call the hotel and ask to have a double but they may not give it to you. Do you have a travel agent? You can ask them to try to find you something. I have only stayed in the Courtyard which was reasonably priced and had a pool. But I know of others that have stayed in the Hampton Inn near the airport. Again reasonably priced but not downtown... Sorry i can not be of more help to you... maybe someone else will join in with some suggestions.
