We are going on the Adventure next week, and we plan to get to St. John from the ship on our own. I know that Trunk Bay is the beach that everyone goes to, but is it too busy? Is Cinnamon Bay as nice? We are 4 adults and 2 10/11 year olds. Snorkeling is preferred but not critical.
One of our party is not a good swimmer. Is there snorkeling in water that is not deep?
I am not sure if you are going to St. John on your own from St. Thomas. But in St. Thomas there is a terrific swimming and snorkeling area called Ko-kee beach. (I am not spelling it correctly, I cannot remember how to spell it, but wanted you to have the p honetic pronunciation). Anyway, if one in your party is not a great swimmer, that is a perfect place to snorkel.
I like Coki too, but everyone I have run into in the last couple of weeks has told me that once you go to St. John, you will not think very highly of the St. Thomas beaches anymore, despite the "commute".
