Has anyone done both the cave tubing and the Shark Ray Alley/Barrier Reef Snorkeling Excursions in Belize? Which is better? I know it's a matter of opinion, but I keep hearing sooo many good things about the cave tubing, I'm thinking about changing my mind.
Also, my boyfriend and I have booked a beach party in Costa Maya through an independent tour operator, cost is 30.00 and really only includes drinks, beach chair and bar service. It is in the town of Mahahual at Pez Quadro. Anyone know if that beach is accessible to the public as well as cost of fruity alcoholic drinks on same beach? I'm wondering if we shouldn't just venture out on our own.
One more question. We are going to Santo Tomas De Castilla, Guatemala and were thinking about seeing a Mayan Ruin there, booking through the ship. Tikal and Copan are both 499.00 and out of our price range, is there another good archeological ruin here, or should we save that for another port?
Our ports of call are as follows :
Key West, Florida - Thought we would just walk around on our own here and explore.
AT SEA
Belize City, Belize - Either snorkeling or cave tubing
Santo Tomas De Castilla, Guatemala - maybe a Mayan Ruin
Roatan, Honduras - Thought just a day at the beach here because it looks so beautiful
Costa Maya, Mexico - Booked a "beach party" which just includes alcohol, a beach chair and service
