snorkeling in Nassau vs. Key West

Is the snorkeling better in Key West of Nassau? We are only planning on snorkeling at one of our ports (atleast at this point!), so I'm trying to decide which would be more enjoyable, as well as what other options are for each port. Any ideas??

Wow, that's a tough call. They're both beautiful. If I had to make a choice, however, I'd vote for Nassau by a slim margin.

I'd bring my own equipment and snorkel on both... Unless you have no snorkeling experience at all, just pack your gear and go to a beach and snorkel! No need to take a special snorkeling trip.

Thanks, that helps a lot! We will be in Key West until 3pm (on my bday!), and Nassau in the evening hours, so as long as snorkeling is just as good in Key West, that's probably where we'll do. Especially since there doesn't seem to be any outstanding beaches in Key West. And yes, it is our first time snorkeling.
