Look at my previous message, which I just updated with a link. It was a nice tour, with open bar and the beautiful beach all to ourselves. Frankly the buffet was not that good, although edible. The tour guide - Alex - was outstanding. Would I do it again? Not definitely, but I would if the mood was right for it.
The weight limit? That really has to do with some of the optional tours. The link I provided is generic. They have more than one tour option, some include a kayak to get to the island (that is where the weight limit comes into play), but even the regular tour involves using small boats to make the trek from the main part of Cozumel to "Isla Passion".
Great Place. You should go there!
Very beautiful beach. We got free unlimited beer as well...an added plus if you like beer. I don't like beer but my companions did and loved every minute of it.
I'm glad to hear that some of you thought it was beautiful. We were dissapointed with our visit in 1/06, but to be fair there was a really bad hurricane that stayed over Cozumel for two full days just the month before. The beer commercials always looked so nice but it didn't look nice that day! To be honest, the whole island of Cozumel looked really awful, buildings in ruins, trees everywhere. The beaches were littered with debris. If I were to go back to Cozumel, I'd take an excursion to Xel Ha probably, a wonderful marine water park on the mainland. The snorkeling there is awesome. We were there for 1/2 day on a tour that went here and to the Tulum ruins. Both were absolutely amazing, but we didn't have enough time in Xel Ha, so I'd like to go back there.
