I would like to know if its worth going to Atlantis in the bahamas and is there any fees to go in the aquarium.

The Atlantis is probably the main attraction in Nassau. You can catch a cab over and it's not that expensive. The water taxi is less expensive, but it is not a safe way to travel there. There is a charge for the aquarium, but it is not that bad. There is a public beach next to the Atlantis that is free of charge. It is a site that should be experienced at least once. A word to add...actually a few words...

The water taxi drops you off 1/2 mile away...and it's uphill the whole way there!! Spend the couple of extra bucks and take the taxi.

Part of the aquarium is free. To see ALL of the aquarium costs. Great restaurants at ATLANTIS too. Nice casino!

I have a suggestion if you are a drinker...well heck even if you aren't....go to the public beach and look for the guy making pina coladas in the real coconuts as you enter...best darn drink i have ever had in my life...ever..

Sunshine is on the money about the coconut drinks! This has been a confusing question about Atlantis. At first there was no going to the general aquarium area and water park.

I was comped as an agent years ago and given a wrist band for the entire property. Then 2 years ago was told they don't do that any more.

Now I am hearing they do sell tickets.

I am going to try to talk with Marketing on Monday and get some answers for us all. If anyone else knows the real deal, please reply.

If anyone is wondering which side of Atlantis is the Free Beach, it is to the right when facing the hotel from land.
