This past two years have been hard times for us I haven't been on a cruise in about two years. I'm finally able to pay for a 4 or 5 night cruise. I will be able to go anytime the first two weeks of December. This is what I'm looking at:

NCL going out of Miami, going to Nassau, Freeport and their private Island.

or

R.C going out of Fort Lauderdale, day at sea, cozumel, Grand Cayman, day at sea.

We have cruised on R.C. several times and have been to Nassau, cozumel and Grand Cayman. All my cruises have been out of Miami. If you had your choice which cruise is the better of the two. Will theses Islands still be warm - we are beach people. I just want this to be a good trip for us since we have worked so hard to save for a trip.

Hi DSR, if I were doing this, I would select RCI for two reasons: I have been on RCI several times and have never been on NCL so I would know what to expect and perhaps you as well. I feel that the islands on RCI would be warmer than Nassau and Freeport at this time of year. Also, you haven't been out of Fort Lauderdale and this would make for a change. Either way, ENJOY as you have earned it !

Sorry to hear that the past couple of years have been difficult.

From your description, it appears you are deciding between 4 nights on Norwegian Sky and 5 nights on Navigator of the Seas. So, ship size and cruise length also come into play.

If it were me, I'd go for Royal Caribbean mainly because it's a longer cruise. I also like having sea days at the beginning (to decompress) and the end (to pack at leisure). Both are good lines/ships, yet the Royal Caribbean itinerary is more appealing to me, personally.

Hi DSR, sorry to hear about the past couple of years!

I vote for the longer itinerary. You deserve as much time as you can get. The Sky is a beautiful ship, but so is the Navigator. You can't go wrong with either line, but the extra day sounds GREAT to me

Every one knows I only sail with Royal Caribbean, and the Navigator is one of my favorite ships. However, given the choice of ports of call, and an extra day, I think the 5 day cruise is a no-brainer. That's why I booked that cruise too.

Hey Sonny, I hope you and DSR can meet on the cruise. You have been able to meet QueenofCruising, Tanyababanya, and now hopefully DSR. Guess I'm cruising the wrong line
