Yes, I have done it and it was great. Be aware that you have to take your own friends with you, as many of the folks staying there view the cruise trade as "something less". Have a great day in Nassau!

What about reading up with a tour book and doing it all on our own? Bad idea?

In Nassau is not a lot to see. A great experiance will perhaps be a visit to paradise island. We've made it on our own, there was no problem.
I have to say that we were 10 days on the Bahamas. Another great thing is a Power Boat Adventure.

I won a trip to Breezes in 2001, the place was fantastic, my sister and I had a great time, the trip was for 4 nights, 5 days. It really is all- inclusive, NO tipping, just don't put down a drink and walk away and go back to get it, sometimes there are sick people that will put drugs etc in your drink, girls have been raped in the Bahamas( and other islands) just get yourself a new one. Another warning, there is a club there called the ZOO, do not go, even the Bahamian Police will NOT go in there.

Well we finally decided and I cant believe what we settled on! Seahorse sail and snorkel. So thanks for all the advice ! I cant wait for our first cruise! Just 6 weeks till blast off!
