Hi everyone. Just a suggestion while your in Ocho Rios. If you like coffee, try the Blue Mountain Coffee. IT IS EXCELLENT !!!!
I bought it for $18.00 a pound, they were selling it for $25.00 a pound. I bought about 5 1 lb bags and got it for $18.00. (My daughter wanted me to pick up some for her while we were there). Beware they will try to sell you knock off coffee cheaper. The Real Blue Mountain coffee comes in a burlap bag. The knock off coffee doesn't have the burlap bag.
I was told in NY you would pay A LOT MORE THEN THAT for the Blue Mountain coffee.
The people in Ocho Rios will drive you crazy, they don't leave you alone when you get off the ship. We didn't go on an excursion, we just went shopping. Make sure you set a price with the taxi driver if you go anywhere on your own.

We did the Dunns River falls excursion in Dec '05 on the Victory. We did the excursion with a 65 foot catamaran through Carnival. The cat brought us to the falls than brought us to the beach with free rum punch and Red Stripe beer for $1. I highly recommend this excursion we all had a great time the mates on the cat played music and they danced up a storm. Then the guests started to dance. They did not serve any drinks before the falls for your own safety. I do not recommend having any booze before climbing. When you are finished climbing to the top on the way down they have a stand with cold beer.
The water shoes that I used I bought at Walmart that is all you need you might use them again 1 or 2 more times so why spend alot of money on them.
