Heading out to Ocho Rios for our cruise in September. We have every other port booked, but we just can't decide on Jamaica. Reading reviews of Ocho Rios makes me 100% positive that I need to do an excursion with the ship or just stay on the ship. We are looking into Bamboo Beach Club and just wanted any opinions by someone who has been there.
Thanks

No, haven't done that one, but have seen it on Travel Channel and it looked like fun for the spring breakers. Have you already done Dunn's River Falls? That is a must, even if you don't walk up the falls, you can walk beside them. Fern Valley is pretty good tour as well. But you are right, stay with a group!

penny3333 - They offer a package of Dunns River Falls and The Bamboo Beach Club which is something I was considering. I sure wish I had seen that how on the Travel Channel.

It was in a really nice setting, of course, they were mainly focusing on the bikinis and booze. The booze was flowing freely, but that package sounds like a fun way to spend time in Ocho Rios. By the time you get to the top of the falls, a nice refreshing drink would be the top of my list!

penny3333 Hummmm---Booze and Bikinis...well, I wanted more of a relaxing atmosphere with a cocktail and my toes in the sand - is this more of a wild partying kinda thing? Been there, done that, got the T-shirt.

On my cruise 2 weeks ago, I met a couple on the cruise that did the Bamboo Beach club I asked them how it was and they said it was great a non stop party, free rum punch and great food. I was ****ed because I had book that excursion but cancelled it to book a private tour of the island... My tour was nice but I wish I had went to the beach club... If you book this excursion please let me know how it was.

Karrie - If I book it I will definitely let you know how it goes. I don't mind a great party, but I am really not into the "Wild Spring Break" kinda thing this time around.

Chris, hands down, without a doubt, 100% positive..... don't miss Dunns River Falls. It's spectacular, breathtaking, exhilarating, gorgeous, a wonder of the world... and not to be missed. Of course, it's just my opinion. A'ndrea

Chris, it PAINS me to say this, but, summer will be over before you know it and you'll be off on your cruise in no time.
Don't forget water shoes and a waterproof camera for the falls. A'ndrea
