"Mayan Reality Tour"

Hi all... I've searched the cruise-chat site and haven't found any info on this, so I'll ask the question:

Has anyone done the "Mayan Reality Tour" out of Costa Maya?? We're sailing on HAL in a month, and are considering this excursion. I'm wondering if it's worth the price.

I'm not sure what the "reality tour" is, but if it is a visit to the Chachoben Mayan Ruins, which is a minute ride from the Port of Costa Maya, we just visited there last week and it was the best thing we did at all of our ports of call. Incredible! You can't climb to the top, but you can climb on some of the ruins and they give you an excellent speach on who and when the ruins were formed.

Did you go to the Ruins on an excursion through the cruise ship or did you use a group on shore and if so who did you use?
