We didn't do the party catamaran on Princess, we did a catamaran sail/snorkel in Ocho Rios through Princess. The snorkeling was ok, Dunn's River falls if you haven't been there is really a lot of fun. The sail/snorkel didn't go to Dunn's but it did go by there. We had been to Dunn's previously, so we just chose to snorkel. The people we talked to that went to Dunn's did not mention snorkeling. It is totally up to you, but in Jamaica I wouldn't do anything unless it's through the ship, this again is just my personal preference. If you use your find feature in the upper left hand corner and type in Ocho Rios, you can find a lot of posts regarding Ocho Rios or type in Jamaica as well.
