Atlantis tour in Nassau?

I have heard you can tour the Atlantis hotel while you are in port. Has anyone done this and if so how much was it. Thanks for the info.

We were there in August and were going to do the tour until they wanted $29.95 per adult and $19.95 per child. It is included in the price of the room if you were a guest at the hotel. All around where the tour starts is a massive tank. where you can view many if not all of the same fish that are on the tour. Also, they do not let you go down to the beach either. Once again it is only for guests. However, the public beach was a 10 min walk away.

I have done it before. if you stay in the hotel it is free and you can go on all the activities and water slides. many people rent a room for the day as it is cheeper depending on the size of your party. There is another hotel accross the street that will also give you access to all the attractions at atlantis and may also have cheeper rates

We decided to take a walk around the grounds but not use the facilities, just check the joint out; therefore we were not willing to pay a fee. We just walked right in as we were a guest and kept a towl over our arm where the wristband should be. We were never approached, but then again we were only looking. For us when it came right down to it, the Atlantis is very impressive, but is just another beach resort. I will say that the waterslide going through the shark tank is pretty cool. Probably a big thrill if you have kids with you.

You can take the long way around via public access to the beach, as there is no private property below the high water mark, just can't use their stuff. We have often enjoyed the public beaches east of the Atlantis, they are clean, safe, and uncrowded.

If you are looking for a nice way to spend time around Nassau I would probably opt for one of the party/snorkel boats to Rose Island. For a really great time, take one of the powerboat adventure day-trips. They run about $180 for the day, but what an adventure.
