Hire a cab and go for a drive in the countryside - take a good look at what's growing wild on either side of the road - then ask yourself again "...what is easy on the bones and fun to do?"

If you want to see a wee bit of the country-try the ruins at Altun Ha! You'll get out to the edge of the jungle,tour a bit of Belize City and get a bit of feel for the country! Plus the buses have functioning AC! The tour is relatively inexpensive!

Thanks everyone for the input. I would LOVE To do the cave tubing, but I have a bum knee and after talking with Reggie of the tours, he suggested something else as the walk may be too much with carrying the inner tube, bag, etc.
Back to square 1....
