We are planning to be in the Western Carribean Nov 2007 aboard Celebrity Constellation. Has anyone been to Cartagnia? Suggestions or advise on what or what not to do?

Some people say its a dangerous place to go, but I am sure the Cruise company wouldnt expose us to anything like that.

Are you sure? Lets face it the cruise company Liability ends when you get off the ship.

Now that being said I will be heading there in January ‘07 but let me assure you that I will not be making my decision to get off the ship based on the fact that the “cruise company would never expose me to something dangerous”. I believe that is dangerous in its self.

Dear Daphna: Do you mean Cartagena, Colombia? It is a beautiful and very old city right on the Caribbean Sea, people is very friendly and affectionate, it is a very peaceful city with narrow streets, castles,and old Spanish history which will resemble some parts of San Juan, Puerto Rico; it is good for all kinds of tropical fruits and for buying Colombian emeralds.
