Hey everyone, we will be leaving soon. In your opinion what is the best thing to do in Cozumel?

I here that snorkeling and scuba diving are the best things to do in Cozumel. They have a Mexican nation park there, I think it is called "Chanaab" (or similar) where the snorkeling and underwater reefs are the best, or so I heard.

In addition to that, the shopping is really good too. If you drink, I hear that the liquor prices are really good. If you are into baking, the vanilla they sell sure beats the stuff you find in your local supermarket. Mexico has abundant silver deposits. So, they have allot of things made of silver, for sale in Cozumel. Make sure if you buy something made of silver, that it has the 0.925% purity standard (or similar numbers). There is allot of interesting souvenirs to buy. My favorite shop for souvenirs, when I was in Cozumel, was "Cinco Soles". That means 5 Suns in English. Both the merchandise and the people working there were nice.

You could also hang-out with the party crowd at Carlos and Charlies. I heard wild things go on there (not when I was there, unfortunately). Maybe I should return around Spring Break time You could even go upstairs above C&C's to Seņor Frogs. I never saw two party places together (one on top of the other) before. Lets not forget about the Hard Rock Cafe, too; somewhere else in Cozumel.

So, I hope you have a good time on your cruise and also while in Cozumel

It's Chankanaab Park and we did a great swim with the dolphins there. Some of the reefs suffered damage from the hurricane, but the snorkeling is good. Fat Tuesdays have great margaritas. Xel-ha is wonderful for water sports, the snorkeling there is amazing. Tulum ruins are in a beautiful setting and are very intresting. There have been lots of posts on Paradise Beach. As Frase said, shopping is good there. Have a wonderful time!

I'll throw in my vote for the Fury Catamaran Sail and Snorkel. It's so much fun we've done it 3 times!! Snorkeling, private beach, free beer and margaritas and soft drinks, and a great staff and crew. They also take the best pictures! And it costs less than $50 per person! For my money you can't beat it!

tesi, I don't know if you've left yet. If you haven't, and you decide to take Frase's excellent suggestion of shopping at Los Cinco Soles, be sure to stop by the restaurant in the back, Pancho's Backyard. They make wonderful margaritas, and the guacamole is out of this world. During lunchtime hours, they have a mariachi band playing. It's a great atmosphere -- not a party one like C&C, but a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy.
Happy cruising!

We've been to Cozumel on many occasions & we always do something different. They Fury Catamaran as Steve stated is an A1 excursion. We are doing the Jeep tour coming up.
