Costa Maya

I am taking a cruise on the fantasy in april and the boat is docking at costa maya. I was wondering if the port is somewere were you can just get off the boat and do stuff are do you have to travel to get to the action. If anyone has been to this port please give me a review

My family went to Costa Maya on the Glory last year. I loved it there. We almost missed the boat because I wasn't ready to leave. When we got off the boat, one of the first things we found was a booth that rented wave runners. (I think it was $60 an hour.) We had to take a shuttle to Tequila Beach (about 5 min). We spent half our time there hanging out under the palm trees, swimming in the clear water with the swim masks we had brought, and doing the waver runner. Then we walked down the road (5-10 min) to a town called Majahual. We ate lunch there and did some shopping before catching the shuttle back. If you have children, mine are 8 & 10 and they did fine. I'm going on the Fantasy in april too (4/30)

I've been doing research today and this sounded good to me:
"take a $3 shuttle to Majahual, sit at Cat's Meow (on the beach), ask for George, we sat there and ate and drank all day for $25! He took care of us, got us everything we needed/wanted! The owner is from Canada and is wonderful. Had a massage (in the raised hut, down the road a little) for $20 / 1 hour. Make sure you bargin!"
