lunch on Princess Cays (private island)

This is surely a silly question, but I've read that lunch on the private island is brought over from the ship...does that mean it is included in our cruise fare like the meals on the ship, or do you have to pay for it? Thanks!

Yes it is include in your cruise fare. The ship brings over the staff, food, alcohol, ice, glasses, etc. Even the items you purchase inside the gates. There are some local vendors along the back fence, that you can access. They have t-shirts and tourist goodies for sale. You cannot use your ship card for them, but can use it inside the fenced area. Princess Cays is a nice beach/snorkel/water activities area with plenty of lounge chairs, shade, restrooms, and fresh water showers. You'll really enjoy it. Hope you have a wonderful cruise!

I'm thinking about booking a 14 day on the Grand next year for Christmas/New Years or the 14 day on the Royal. Please let me know your impressions of the Grand when you get back. We haven't sailed on either the Grand or the Royal, so I'd like to hear from others about them. The Royal's itinerary is more interesting to me because there are 3 ports we've not been to, however, it's nearly $1000 more than the Grand. To some, it might not be much, to me it's a lot of money, so I'm really having a struggle deciding. Best wishes!
